correct speed with zero flicker. 16mm Film is also captured directly off the film and telecined at silent or sound running speeds. It's Custom: We then render your High Definition Blu-Ray DVD complete with a custom DVD Menu, Your Main Menu Title and Your Reel Titles. We want to make sure your titles are correct so you need to give us your main menu title and reel titles typed on a separate sheet of paper. Otherwise, your DVD Menu will read Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. We will automatically edit out any blank, black or bad areas of the film and make any necessary color and exposure corrections. Please Note: In order to view a Blu-Ray Disc you must have a Blu-Ray Player. Blu-Ray Discs will not play in standard definition DVD players.
Movie Film to Blu-Ray HD Questions?
What kind of movie film do you transfer to Blu-Ray HD? We can transfer Regular 8mm, Super 8mm, & 16mm Sound and Silent Films. Regular 8 and Super 8 film is captured frame by frame, 16mm is telecined at either silent or sound running speeds.
How do I figure out my film footage? Do your best to estimate the film footage by using the chart on the item page. Then you can simply order by film footage as opposed to each reel. If there is any over or underpayment, we will make any necessary corrections when we complete your order.
Can I have computer files for editing? Yes. For Regular 8 or Super 8 Movie Film you can order AVI files in the Motion JPEG-HD Codec transferred to an external hard drive you provide. All your films are scanned frame by frame in full 1080p in the Motion JPEG-HD codec. Motion JPEG-HD files are based on the universal MJPEG codec and should be compatible with most contemporary HD edit systems that can handle AVI based editing. For 16mm film, we can provide AVCHD files for editing. AVCHD files are also compatible in any contemporary HD editing system. There will be no color corrections or editing applied to these files although the color should be representative to the original film. They will contain black or blank areas they we edit out of your final DVD. You must send us an external hard drive to transfer the files to. All hard drives must be delivered pre-formatted NTFS for PC, or Formatted for MAC. No (FAT 32) Drives. They will not handle the large file sizes. All drives must be delivered empty. If your drive arrives formatted for FAT-32, it will be returned for additional cost.
How should I arrange my movie film? It is usually best to arrange them by date. Put them in a numbered order and we will transfer them in that order. You can have a title for each chapter we create. We want to be sure to your order correct so you must include a typed separate sheet of paper with your reel titles and main menu title. Otherwise, the DVD Menu will read Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc.
Can I add background music? Yes. You can have us put instrumental background music on your movie film transfer at no additional cost. Please choose from the list on the order page. You can also choose to have no background music at all.
Can I drop off your order at your location? We are an internet video transfer company only. All orders must be shipped to us. We do not have a retail storefront location.
Do you send any of your work out or overseas? No. All work is completed in our imaging lab. You precious memories will be handled with absolute care and will be packed well when shipped back to you.
Will you return all my originals? Yes. All your original images, tapes or film will be returned along with your new DVD'S or CD's.
